Janjetina ispod peke (Škabrnja)
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg to 2 kg of young lamb
- 1 kg of new potatoes
- a few onions
- a couple of cloves of garlic
- herbs: sage, rosemary (maybe a couple of bay leaves)
- salt and pepper as needed
Preparation:
Prepare a strong fire to have enough embers. Clean and salt the lamb and place it in a well-oiled round pan. Arrange several halved capsicums around the meat. Cover the baking dish and cover it well with the grill. After an hour, open the oven, turn the meat over, add cleaned new potatoes and herbs. Cover the oven again and cover it with the grill and bake for another 45 minutes (depending on the intensity of the grill). It is served in the dish in which it was baked.
