Priganice
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg of flour 1/2 cube of yeast
- Warm water (almost 1/2 liter) small spoon of sugar
- Lemon and orange crust 0,03 brandy
- Handful of dried fruit (optional) Dram of salt
- Frying oil
- Powdered sugar
Preparation:
In a little lukewarm water, with a dram of sugar, put the yeast to rise. Put the flour and yeast in a deep bowl, then knead a medium-hard dough with lukewarm water. Add lemon crust, oranges and dried fruit, rubbed in flour.
Cover bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise. When the dough has risen and the oil has warmed up well, grab the dough with your hand, then squeeze out the balls – priganice – and drop them into the hot oil with a spoon. Cook until they turn yellow, then take them out
with a spoon and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serving:
They are excellent warm, but equally delicious cold, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
