The final conference of the cross-border project “EnhanCing Sustainable ToUrism Development through Culinary HeritAge- CUHaCHA” was held in Zadar, in the Providur palace, on 2 December 2022 years.

Božidar Longin, prefect of Zadar County, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of preserving the culinary heritage. Project manager Andrea Erceg from the Agency for Rural Development of Zadar County introduced the participants to the project and project results. Prof. spoke about the research of the culinary tradition of Zadar County. Ph.D.Sc. Dunja Brozović Rončević from the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology, University of Zadar. Professor Ph.D. Damir Kovačić, external expert of Zadar County, presented the activities carried out by the County as part of the project.

Activities and project results in the Herzegovina-Neretva County-Canton were presented by MSc. Karmela Zlomislić, project manager in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports HNŽ-K, and the activities carried out in Tivat were presented by Ivona Petrović, project manager in front of the Municipality of Tivat.

The output results of the project are:

-> joint paths of culinary heritage to strengthen and expand the tourist offer,

-> Monograph of culinary heritage,

-> arrangement of traditional kitchens to promote culinary heritage,

-> training of service providers for better management of culinary heritage

The project was co-financed by ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union.

The goal of the project was to strengthen and preserve the identity of the common culinary heritage of the program area and contribute to the development of tourism.

The project holder is the Agency for Rural Development of Zadar County – AGRRA (RO), and the project partners are the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports HNŽ-K (BiH), Tivat Municipality (CG) and Zadar County (RO).

The total value of the project is 710,946.94 euros, of which the amount of EU co-financing is 604,304.89 euros.

The project lasts from 15 August to 31 December 2022
