Tufahija is a watered dessert. The golden yellow color of apples and white whipped cream give it a sumptuous appearance and magical taste. For some, it is too sweet a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 7 apples (golden delish)
  • 300 g of ground walnuts
  • 300 g of sugar
  • 1 liter of water
  • whipped cream

Meal preparation

Wash and peel the apples, hollow out the middle, and save the skins. Cook the apples in water to which 300 g of sugar has been previously added (if desired, add lemon juice). Cook on low heat for about 20 minutes, until foam appears. Halfway through cooking, turn the apples.

Filling: pour the ground walnuts with the resulting sherbet in which the apples were cooked. Fill the cold apples with the mixture.

Serving

Before serving, put a spoonful of whipped cream on each tufahi. If desired, decorate the top with a sour cherry.
