Ingredients:

  • About 10 oysters and mussels per person
  • A few drops of olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Pepper
  • Chopped parsley
  • Parmesan gratin

 

Meal preparation:

Open the oysters carefully in order to preserve the sea in them and place them on well-heated griddles. Drizzle them with olive oil, lemon juice and pepper, and if desired, sprinkle with a little grated Parmesan cheese. Bake them on the grill for 3-4 minutes and serve.

Place the mussels on hot griddles and let them open. Carefully transfer them to a plate, sprinkle with lemon juice and a marinade of olive oil, chopped garlic and parsley.

Shells are prepared according to the traditional Boke recipe, a

hosts also offer prepared according to slightly modified recipes that enhance the taste and smell of shellfish. Shells have been used for eating in Boka Kotorska for 5,000 years, material evidence of which was found in the Spila cave above Perast.
