Maneštrun (Mineštrun)
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 3 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- a handful of cleaned peas (biji)
- 2 handfuls of green beans
- a couple of spoons of olive oil
- a handful of small pasta
- a spoonful of flour, salt and pepper
Preparation:
In a small bowl, put a couple of cleaned carrots cut into cubes, a handful of peas (biji), potatoes cut into small cubes, green beans cut into 1-2 cm, two tomatoes cut into cubes. Pour in a jug of water (1.5 l) and add salt when it boils. Make a sprinkling of a little oil and flour, cover with water and then add to the soup together with the pasta. It is important not to put a lot of water so that the manestrun is not too thin. In the winter time, finely chopped bacon is sometimes added to the manestrun.
